What does searching for higher learning in Gaza mean when scholasticide is ongoing?
Be informed directly by students who will convey their personal experiences and responses. Find out about the local, national, and international partnership to support their return to higher studies. Most importantly, learn how you can effectively aid this generation of students to rebuild Gaza’s future.
The event is in the Centre’s side room, where appetizers and beverages will be provided.* Members of CEPAL (Canadian Palestinian Educational Exchange) are your in-person hosts and Khaled Mowed provides live entertainment. Internationally, two students will join us online to describe what it was like trying to pursue education with no functioning schools, the personal challenge of leaving Gaza, and barriers they faced around visas, funding, and verification. The evening’s finale will be a unique “education auction,” led by the CPCA’s Mousa Qasqas.
Seating is limited, so register here now for this hybrid event.
* The Palestine Centre is hosting a weekend-long multicultural event in the main hall on April 18 and 19. Full meals will be available prior to “We Will Rebuild”, whose locale is the Centre’s side meeting room.
